Winter 2016
Winter Championships will be held over 2 weekends in September 2016.
Warm up at 3.00pm, racing will begin at 3.30pm.
Day 1 is 10-9-2016 Events are Medley and Breaststroke
Day 2 is 17-9-2016 Events are Butterfly, Backstroke and Freestyle
Due to the pool being closed for 2 weeks the committee has reduced the number of freestyle swims needed to qualify to 7 in addition to 4 of each of the other form strokes. Special consideration may be given to swimmers with a valid reason. If you wish to seek special consideration please approach the Race Committee.
The Blackline Sheet will be updated every week from now until Day 1 of Championships so you can keep updated on the events you still need to qualify for.
Once your child has qualified for Championships, cards can be obtained from the front desk. Entry fee per event is 50c. Once you have filled in your card and paid the entry fees please lodge your cards with George Ross.
Even if your child has not qualified for Championships they can still swim as an exhibition swimmer.
If you have any questions regarding Championships please see George Ross or Graham Ede.
Black Line Sheet as at 3 September 2016
PLEASE NOTE: THIS BLACKLINE SHEET HAS NOW BEEN MANUALLY CORRECTED TO TAKE IN ALL ADJUSTMENTS THAT THE COMPUTER DOES NOT PICK UP.
IF ANYONE FINDS THEY STILL DO NOT QUALIFY FOR AN EVENT THAT THEY THINK THEY SHOULD HAVE QUALIFIED FOR PLEASE COME AND SEE ROBIN OR GRAHAM EDE.
Spectator Entry into Championships will be $5.00 per family, this covers both days.

79 swimmers competed over the two weeks of Winter Championships. They swam many Pb’s, set 5 new records and broke 8 others.
Competition was fierce but friendly and we saw some very close finishes.
Many thanks to the parents and senior swimmers that helped out over the Championship days, without your help days like this would not be possible.
At the end of racing on Day 2 we all enjoyed a delicious bbq which bought Winter Season to a successful conclusion.
We wish all our families and swimmers an enjoyable break and look forward to seeing you all again when Summer Season begins on 8 Octoer 2016.
