
Summer 2018-19
186 guests including Cnr Lou Konjarski (standing in for Mark Coure), Craig Wilson (Club Rivers), Ray Moran (Xcel Steel Security), Jan & Toni Hannon, Howard & Sue Reus, Peakhurst ASC Committee Members, Life Members, Swimmers, Family and Friends attended our Presentation Night which was held at Club Rivers on Saturday 1 June 2019.
Guests started to arrive at 6.30pm as they found their table, organised drinks and mingled with others.
Dinner was to be served at 7.00pm and before it came out David Goff introduced the special guests, welcomed us all and thanked everyone for coming. David then thanked Club Rivers for their continued sponsorship and use of the club facilities for the night, before we sat down and enjoyed the delicious 2 course meal.
With so many awards to hand out we started the presentation when everyone had eaten the first course.
We started with the Junior Dolphin Awards which were presented by Mr Ray Moran of Xcel Steel Security Systems.

The Learn to Swim Awards were presented by Kaitlin E a 13yrs Club Member and Co-Ordinator of the Junior Dolphin Program.

Rose Agius was then on hand to award the Tadpole Awards which are awarded to the first place boy and girl in the 5yrs and Under age group. Congratulations to Arianna C and Eric T.
All swimmers in every age group received an award which were presented to them by various Peakhurst ASC committee members, Cnr Lou Konjarski presented the Judith Bennetts Memorial Trophies and theBarrett Trophies. Craig from Club Rivers presented The Bill Andrews Memorial Trophies and the Marie & Trevor Keith Memorial Trophies.
With the age group awards handed out it was then time to present Representative Banners and Record Certificates.
Adam M represented the Club at the 2018-19 NSW Senior State Age Championships competing in the 50mtr Freestyle and Lachlan Q represented the Club at the 2019 NSW Junior State Age Championships competing in the 50mtr Freestyle, 50mtr Butterfly and 50mtr Breaststroke. Both Adam and Lachlan were presented with a Representative Banner. Congratulations Adam and Lachlan.
During Summer Championships 3 records were broken, Kristy P set a new record in the Women’s Over 35yrs 50mtr Butterfly and George R set new records in the Over 35 Mens 50mtr Breastroke and Over 35 Mens 100mtr Ind Medley. Congratulations to these two swimmers who were presented with Record Certificates.
4 swimmers had swum during Summer Season every week and they were presented with 100% Attendance Awards, congratulations to Kaitlin, Mitchell, Julian and Erin.

Top 10 Boys Point Score Winners – Julian L, Lachlan S, Johnny C, Liam L, Jordan H, Mitchell E, Ridon K, Isaac N, Kyle C and the top point score winner for Summer Season was Tyrone L.

Congratulations to all these swimmers on receiving these special awards.
The Cherry Smith Trophies and the David Reus Memorial Trophy were new awards that we added to our perpetual trophies this year. We were fortunate to have Howard and Sue Reus come along to hand out the David Reus award. Cherry Smith was overseas this morning so her daughter Shannon and granddaughter Ruby were on hand to present the award on behalf of Cherry to our winners.
Jan and Toni Hannon also attended the dinner and Toni presented the Martin Hannon Award to our Masters age group.
David Goff with assistance from the committee presented Club shirts and shorts to our 1st Claim Members who had swum at Championships.
The evening was a great success with all swimmers receiving an award.
Many thanks to Julia for ‘MC’ing the night, to Belinda who did a fantastic job (her first time) in selecting the amazing trophies to Robin for organising the event, to Grace for ably assisting, helping behind the scenes and helping set up and pack away on the day.
