
Summer 2017-18
170 guests including Mark Coure MP, Craig Wilson (Club Rivers), Ray Moran (Xcel Steel Security), Jan, Tracey & Toni Hannon, Gillian Debbage (Keith Family), Peakhurst ASC Committee Members, Life Members, Swimmers, Family and Friends attended our Presentation Night which was held at Club Rivers on Saturday 26 May 2018.
Guests started to arrrive at 6.30pm they found their table, organised drinks and mingled with others.
Dinner was to be servved at 7.00pm so before it came out David Goff introduced the special guests, welcomed us all and thanked everyone for coming. David then thanked Club Rivers for their continued sponsorship and use of the club facilities for the night, before we sat down and enjoyed the delicious 2 course meal.
With so many awards to hand out we started the presentation when everyone had eaten the first course.
We started with the Junior Dolphin Awards which were presented by Mr Ray Moran of Xcel Steel Security Systems.

Junior Dolphin Swimmer of the Year – Lachlan S
The Learn to Swim Awards were presented by Kaitlin E a 12yrs Club Member, Club Captain and Co-Ordinator of the Junior Dolphin Program.

Rose Agius was then on hand to award the Tadpole Awards which are awarded to the first place boy and girl in the 5yrs and Under age group. Congratulations to Zara M and Lachlan S.
All swimmers in every age group received an award which were presented to them by various Peakhurst ASC committee members. Mark Coure MP presented the “Masters” 35yrs & over age group. Craig from Club Rivers presented The Bill Andrews Memorial Trophies.
With the age group awards handed out it was then time to present Representative Banners and Record Certificates.
Matisse B during Summer Season had represented the Club at the NSW 10-12yrs State Age Championships and was presented with a Representative Banner. Congratulations Matisse.
Adam Murphy swam 100mtr Freestyle in 59.58secs on 20-1-2018 and in doing so got his name on the Magic Minute Honour Board. Adam was also presented with a Magic Minute Pennant.
During Summer Championships 18 records were broken, Amanda B in the Women’s Over 35yrs 50mtr Butterfly and 100mtr Ind Medley. Nicole C in the Girls 18-20yrs 100mtr Butterfly. Kristy P in the Women’s Over 35yrs 50mtr Backstroke, 50mtr Breaststroke and 50mtr Freestyle, Kaitlin E in the Girls 21yrs & Over 100mtr Freestyle, 100mtr Ind Medley and 100mtr Backstroke, Adam M in the Men’s Over 35yrs 50mtr Backstroke, 50mtr Butterfly, 50mtr Freestyle, 100mtr Ind Medley and Boys 21yrs & Over 100mtr Butterfly, George R in the Boys 21yrs & Over 100mtr Butterfly and Jordan H in the Boys 17yrs & Over 200mtr Backstroke and the Boys 21yrs & Over 100mtr Breaststroke. Congratulations to these swimmers who were presented with Record Certificates.
5 swimmers had swum during Summer Season every week and they were presented with 100% Attendance Awards, congratulations to Kaitlin, Robin, Terry, Brendan and Jordan.

Congratulations to all these swimmers on receiving these special awards.
We were very fortunate to have Gillian Debbage (daughter of Marie and Trevor Keith) on hand to present the Marie and Trevor Keith Trophies.
Also Jan, Tracey and Toni Hannon who were also at the dinner, Tracey (Marty’s daughter) presented our newest award in memory of her father to our Master’s age group.
Gillian, Jan, Tracey and Toni said it was a privilege to be present on the night and to be presenting these awards in memory of their loved ones.
Mr Jim Bickerton, Life Member, then presented vouchers to our 1st Claim Members who had swum at Championships. Unfortunately their gift was not ready in time and they will be able to redeem their voucher for their gift in the coming weeks.
The evening was a great success with all swimmers receiving an award.
