
Summer 2016-17
148 guests including Mark Coure MP, David Kennedy (Metsea), Craig Wilson (Club Rivers), Peakhurst ASC Committee Members, Life Members, Swimmers, Family and Friends attended our Presentation night which was held at Club Rivers on Saturday 27 May 2017.
The evening got underway at 6.30pm as guests found their table, organised drinks and mingled with others, very soon it was time to get proceedings underway.
David Goff introduced the special guests, welcomed us all and thanked everyone for coming. David then thanked Club Rivers for their continued sponsorship and use of the club facilities for the night, before we sat down and enjoyed a delicious 2 course meal.
With so many awards to hand out we started the presentation when everyone had eaten the first course.
Rose Agius was on hand to award the Tadpole Awards which are awarded to the first place boy and girl in the 5yrs and Under age group. Congratulations to Erin H and Lucas.
All swimmers in every age group received an award which were presented to them by various Peakhurst ASC committee members. Mark Coure MP presented the 8yrs age group. David Kennedy presented the Masters age group and Craig from Club Rivers presented the 11yrs and 21yrs & Over age groups with their trophies.
With the age group awards handed out it was then time to present Representative Banners and Record Certificates.
Kane McCarren during Summer Season had represented the Club at the NSW 10-12yrs State Age Championships and was presented with a Representative Banner. Congratulations Kane.
During Summer Championships 9 records were broken, Amanda in the Women’s Over 35yrs 50mtr Breaststroke, 50mtr Freestyle, 50mtr Butterfly and 100mtr Ind Medley. Nicole in the Girls 18-20yrs 100mtr Backstroke, 100mtr Freestyle and 100mtr Butterfly. Robin in the Women’s Over 35yrs 50mtr Backstroke and Chris in the Men’s Over 35yrs 50mtr Backstroke. Congratulations to these swimmers who were presented with Record Certificates.
8 swimmers had swum during Summer Season every week and they were presented with 100% Attendance Awards, congratulations to Kyle, Kaitlin, Mitchell, Robin, Terry, Callum, Erin and Luke.
Peakhurst Swim Club proudly has many perpetual awards which are presented every year and we congratulate the winners of the following awards.

Top 10 Boys Point Score Winners – Luke, Tyler, Ryan B, Kyle, Ryder, Callum, Terry, Jordan, Ben and the top point score winner for Summer Season was Brendan Q.

The Learn to Swim awards were presented by Kaitlin E an 11yr Club Member, Club Captain and Co-Ordinator of the Junior Dolphins.
Fifteen Year Membership Awards – Jordan H
This year we had the inclusion of an award for our Junior Dolphin swimmers kindly donated by Mr Ray Moran of Xcel Steel Security Systems. All the Junior Dolphins were presented with a trophy along with the Junior Dolphin of the Year.

Congratulations to all these swimmers on receiving these special awards.
Mr David Kennedy from Metsea then made a presentation to Mrs Helen Hardie on gaining her accreditation as a Starter during Summer Season.
David our President along with Mr Jim Bickerton, Life Member, then made a special presentation to the 1st Claim Members who had swum at Championships. Each swimmer received a Club towel with their name embroidered on it.
The evening was a great success with all swimmers receiving an award.
